Everything and nothing
It seems that during Christmas we all get wrapped up in what we want, what we seem to need and what we don't have. How we all wish we could always get what we wanted. Wouldn't that be great?! Some people would never die, some would never live, our worst enemies would perish in terrible and nasty ways. We would never have to do anything anybody wanted, but everyone would have to oblidge our every wish. Life would be simple...
What world are you living in. If things were that "simple" nobody would ever get what they want anyway, everyone would be fighting against everyone else. There would be no sides, just every man for himself. So it's a good thing life isn't fair, because if it was, nothing would ever get done.
Although it is nice when life is fair sometimes. But where we go wrong is our definition of fair. We always say that fair is what is right and just, when we don't really have anything to base our rightness and justness on. Or if we do, nobody agrees on it anyway. What is fair? Isn't it just another human interpretation, out to save us all. The Constitution, on of our contracts with this country seems to be, more and more, up against human interpretation. Guess what?! You're not always going to get what you want, and even if you do, would you be satisfied?
It's hard to say that life goes on throught the trials. Everything seems to stop. Just moving along like a robot doesn't seem like much of a life. But what we have to do to keep going is always put the next foot in front of the other, just keep walking... walking on to our destination. Someone once said, "if you were to wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, 'if I died today, would I be happy?'" Would you be?
