Attempting to hold it together
Of all the things that could happen on Thanksgiving, perhaps the worst is having family over. Family that you don't see but maybe once a year. This is especially bad when the person(s) are just out of their mind. My aunt is a good example of this. I should say, before I start picking this weekend apart, that I love my aunt. I love all of my family. That does not mean that I do not get annoyed with them. For instance: If my aunt thinks that something is pretty, she has to use at least 3 sentences to get it across. "That is so pretty. It's gorgeous. I love it, it's wonderful." We could just stop at one thanks.
I was driving home from the coast today, and not to mention my dad's annoying back-seat-driving habits, I had to listen to my aunt say, at least 3 times: "You are doing such a wonderful job driving, just an excellent job. I really appreciate it. I really do." Wow. That's only slightly annoying. I've been driving for almost 3 years now, thanks, I think I can handle it.
She also offers, although she really doesn't have that much money, to pay for almost everything I attempt to buy. I was getting a drink at the store on Thursday "Oh, I'll pay for that honey." Today, getting more drinks at the store, "I'll buy you your stuff." I'm good, but thanks for offering.
She also talks to dogs and little babies as though they understand what she is trying to convey to them. It's embarrassing.
One more thing: she also tries to talk a normal volume through loud noises, and ends up sounding like she is speaking sim constantly. It's bad.
Alright, I am done ranting for the day.
