Rivers

Tonight we saw The Brothers Grimm (by we I mean, Jessica, Jenn, and I). It was a good movie. I will post about it tomorrow... but tonight, I am posting about a topic we discussed at Shari's following the movie.
Back in middle school (regression again!!!! help!!!), they divided us up into what they called rivers. Now, there were 3 rivers: Santiam, Willamette, and Columbia. I always found this quite funny because it hadn't really occurred to me that these "rivers" were actually rivers in Oregon... that's beside the point, anyways. So these rivers were just a way for the kidlets of the school to be separated into groups. I was in Columbia, while a few of my friends were in Willamette and a few in Santiam. Most of my friends resided in Columbia though. I found that although most of my friends were in Columbia, most of my favorite teachers were in the other two rivers.
The point of the story, I suppose, is that this was a big deal back in middle school. The three rivers were all rivals, bitter rivals, I might add. But now, in high school... there really isn't any true division except for classes...(otherwise known as grades...) More about regression I suppose... oh well... just reliving childhood memories... is that normal? Like, before you graduate, do you just remember all of these memories so the simplicity of life in the good ol' days will haunt you forever?
