One day down... 174 more to go
Yes. It's true... I'm counting down the days left of school. I know I'm crazy, but honestly, I have been waiting for the opportunity to be a senior for 3 years now, and I am not about to let anyone ruin my fun. So... 174 days till I graduate!!!! Wooo... that was sort of a strain. On to bigger and better things.
Assembly this morning was ok. Better than past assemblies, that's for sure. Seeing Griffin Terrault in short, skin-tight shorts is something I NEVER want to see again. After the assembly was a nice treat though. Observations is all I have to say about this particular subject. The spoon knows exactly what I am talking about. I must say, summer has done some sweet things. Anyways. First period I have Mr. Bittle for personal finance: oh joy. Apart from having to sit in the very front of the class, it wasn't too boring. I learned that you should put away 10% of your paycheck each month for a retirement fund, starting young. I also learned that the national average for how much people put away for retirement from each paycheck is .8%. I mean, come on people, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you aren't going to be retiring any time soon, at that rate, you had better plan on working until you are dead. Like I said, first period wasn't "too" boring.
After my first period class, I headed off to Mrs. Paschelke's room for Senior Health. That class shouldn't be too bad. It's the only class that gave me homework today. And here's something for you: every SINGLE time I saw Alex Maxwell today, he made a reference to jacking-off. Smooth, Alex, really really smooth. But apart from that, second period shouldn't be too bad either.
Third period is with one of my favorite teachers: Mrs. Bandow. Economics and Global Perspective is the name of the class, it's great. We talked about the hurricane a bit today. Bandow read from the newspaper that the search and rescue people are now proposing that in the event of a natural disaster such as a hurricane or tsunami, etc, that people who decide to stay behind in their homes should be asked to write their social security numbers on their forearms with sharpie, for identification purposes in the event they don't make it through the disaster alive. As disturbing as this is, it's almost a good idea. So third period was fun.
Lunch!!!! I had chili. That was great. Moving on.
Fourth period is with Ms. Jameson, English 12. There are 9 people who dropped out of AP English to go into English 12. Thing of beauty, that's all I have to say about that. Apart from feeling stupid most of the period, it wasn't too grueling. Although, I think that may end up being one of the most boring classes I have this term.
Last period is Newspaper: my favorite class of the day. Again with Mrs. Bandow, this is where the Nerd Herd is re-united during the day. Today was relatively laid back, just discussing new stuff for the Newspaper. Although, I would like to share the rules of Mrs. Bandow's room with you, because I find them amusing:
1. Keep your bodily fluids to yourself.
2. If you do something illegal, don't film it.
3. If you steal the truck, put the bike in the back.
Basicall, don't be stupid. They are great. Words to live by children, words to live by.
