Layout Week
So, for the next 3 days, I will be spending an insane amount of time at school. Usually, the school day lasts about 8 hours, so it's not that bad. This week though, I will be spending an average of 12 hours a day at school working on Newspaper layout.
Although this is not entirely bad, it's still tedious. The cover for the newspaper, which is my responsibility, is about 3/4 of the way done, but there are still some changes that need to be made, and I need to have it all done by the end of school on Friday, hopefully I won't screw it up.
On a lighter note, there are only 14 days until Nationals, which, this year, is being held in Chicago. We are leaving on the 9th and returning on the 13th of November, and it should prove to be a cold, but exciting experience. If it is anything like Nationals last year, which was held in Seattle, it should be a blast. I have no idea how long our plane ride will be, but I am assuming it's at least 3 hours, if not closer to 5, so that should be sufficiently boring.
I already have my write-off entry for Nationals completed, and I am excited to see the results, as I think it is my best cover yet, and I got a superior on my last cover I entered in the same write-off. So we'll see I suppose. I really can't wait.
Tonight is Senior night for volleyball, and as such, it is my last night announcing for the team. How sad... I really do enjoy announcing and am hoping to do it for girls Varsity Basketball as well. Hopefully I get to opportunity to do so. Tonight's game is against Creswell, and according to one of my volleyball-playing friends, we beat them last time, so they should beat them tonight. They have to beat them tonight in order to advance closer to making it to the State Playoffs. I think there are more things that have to fall into place as well, but this is the first step, so let's hope our team does well. Go Tigers!
