Prom... In October?
Alright, I know it's a bit early to be posting about this, but I just want to make this known. This year is my senior year. I have NEVER been to prom. I've never really had the desire to go to prom. Why? Well... dresses, really aren't my thing. So I've never gone to prom, and don't want to if I have to wear a dress. But, Sabrina has suggested that I wear a tux instead. She said, "well Lex, you wear guys clothes anyways most of the time, why not then?"So I said ok. I would go to prom in a tux, as long as I have either a date (highly unlikely), or an escort. I'm working on it. Anyway, it's a stretch, but everyone wants me to go to prom, so I have to find some way to go and enjoy it. This is the best I can come up with.

You don't HAVE to go to the prom. I never did. I could never come up with a good enough reason to.
Plus nobody wanted to go with me.
BTW, when did it become "go to prom" instead of "go to the prom"?
I don't know when it became "go to prom" I guess I never really thought of it. And I know that I don't have to, but hey, it is an experience I've never had before, and I may as well live life to the fullest.
I didn't go to THE PROM either, and am not personally stunted from that lack! Nor is my romantic life! (A lifetime commitment!)
Don't let the idea that you HAVE to go, "everyone that had a 'good time' in high school went" determine your actions! It's bull!
If you want to go to THE PROM, then go, and wear what you want. Don't worry about wearing a tux. Who cares? Instead of wearing what the guys wear, when you don't want to wear a crappy frilly dress, why don't you wear something that is uniquely you? Do your own thing!
You don't need a date or escort either! Why conform? Be yourself! Just go as you!
