Vindication
There are times in your life when all of the sadness is overwhelmed by happiness. Moments when the disappointments turn in to the most fulfilling. It's odd, and somewhat hard to describe, but I'm sure you get the picture. It's those moments when you feel the most in-control, like you are right where you should be.
Moments when you tell someone what you have been wanting to tell them all day, all week, all year... all of your life. Moments when you are complete. You can't even describe the feeling. It just hits you like a ton of bricks. You've succeeded.
It becomes more and more evident to me, as time passes in my life, that you only get one shot. You only get that one chance to make a difference. Take it. Make the most of the situation. What have you got to lose? Except, in which case, taking the opportunity would result in some cataclysmic event. Then maybe you should seek counseling.
What I'm trying to get at here, is that we are our experiences. How can you say you have lived a full life when you've never told the love of your life how much they mean to you? How can you say that you are complete until you do something you have been too scared to do all of your life? How can you live without actually getting out there and doing the things you want to do?
Just think about it for a minute. I'm sure there's something you haven't done in your life that you want to do with it. So, do it. Jump. Don't look back.
